Portfolio

This is a list of sites I have created using various web development tools and languages.  All these sites are built to be mobile-first (applying the modern responsive design principle of progressive enhancement) and have been customized by me. You can find the code for these websites on my Github

Trusted Clothes

This site is powered by WordPress. It is a professional site for TrustedClothes, a non-profit organization, and is currently live and generating 20,000 unique visitors per month.

I am the main developer working on this site and have done the following things:

  • Increased the company’s social media following by implementing social media buttons and facebook, twitter, and instagram feeds
  • Created a word cloud category system for easier user access
  • Adding “Most Viewed Posts” and “Recent Comments” to the site (updating the comment system by manipulating the PHP code)
  • Adding multimedia content such as quizzes, infographics and videos
  • Completed a UI/UX review of the site and implemented a colour scheme as well as adding more posts on the front page

I have also helped created the Trusted Clothes main site which was created using HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS, Javascript/Jquery, and Bootstrap. This main site gives more information about the organisation and lists upcoming events and how to volunteer. It is currently live here and I am working on developing it further every week!

I am the lead web developer working on this site and have done the following things:

  • Solely created the About Us, Volunteer (Main and subsections) Pages, and worked with the team to create the Home Page and other site pages
  • Worked with the UX team to ensure that the site met modern design standards
  • Created a detailed ‘to-do list’ for the team so that everyone would be aware of the issues which take priority
  • Introduced version control to the team through the use of Github, working with Github to get a Non-Profit account
  • Added relevant multimedia content to the site (images and videos)
